Gareth is a freelance session drummer, drum technician, drum teacher and music educator with 25 years experience in the industry, spanning live performance, studio recording, writing, programming, teaching and mentoring.
Since 2016, Gareth has sat on the drum throne behind British rock band Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes; recording on the band’s four UK Top 10 charting albums, and performing on incredible venue and festival stages like London’s Alexandra Palace, Brixton Academy and The London Stadium, as well as festivals like Reading/Leeds & Download Festivals (UK), Rock Am Ring (DE), Shaky Knees & Welcome To Rockville (US).
Touring
Touring across the globe performing sellout headline shows in the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA, Gareth and the Rattlesnakes have had the honour of supporting the likes of Foo Fighters, Bring Me The Horizon and Biffy Clyro, as well as on-show billings alongside Metallica, Queens Of The Stoneage, Korn, Nine Inch Nails and a host of other legendary bands.
Outside of the Rattlesnakes, Gareth’s versatility has seen him working live with a number of other artists spanning different genres, jumping from energetic pop-punk with Noahfinnce to world-percussion laced indie-electronica with the United Freedom Collective.
Music from all these artists can be heard on the Showreel page.

Studio Sessions
Gareth’s most notable recent recording sessions have seen him provide drum tracks behind music for Noahfinnce, Pixie Lott and Remember Monday (UK Eurovision entry 2025).
Other projects include his ‘Snake Beats’ sample & loop pack for Drum Drops, various advert and broadcast music including drum kit compositions for a cinema advert, as well as many other remotely recorded artist sessions from his home recording and teaching studio.
Whatever the genre of music, Gareth is versed in the grooves, styles and sounds for any eventuality, and he prides himself on his experience playing and engineering drum recordings. He has built his studio accordingly around high quality equipment, well balanced acoustics, and a detailed and flexible service to ensure clients get the most from their music.
Teaching & Mentoring
Throughout his career, Gareth has maintained a busy teaching schedule, delivering 1-2-1 lessons, masterclasses and panel discussions about drumming, session work, touring life and the music industry as a whole.
Gareth’s student base is wide and varied, spanning touring professional drummers and members of the Royal Marines Band Service, through to child and adult beginners and intermediate players looking to deepen their knowledge and step into the wider world of the music industry.
You can find Gareth out around the country teaching workshops and masterclasses, or get in touch for private lessons either online or in person at his studio.
